Hopefully they can keep him for another year but it’s a very realistic possibility that he walks. He will definitely be interviewed. Can they offer to give him a raise to try and keep him if it comes down to it?

Continuity under a competent OC (or offensive HC) seems important to develop talented young QBs until they can reach their potential. Past a few years they’re vets and can stand on their own.

If they need to replace him, it seems like it would be a good idea to try and have some continuity with the Shanny tree given familiarity. But who fits the bill?

Taking deep shots on 3rd and 4th down at the end of Sunday’s game (instead of just trying a run or short pass) made this a lot less scary for me.

Not exactly a contingency plan, but makes me more confident CJ will be good without him

It depends on how that looks to someone else.

I think he should have ran the ball on 3rd down, but that’s what JAX expected. Who knows if those plays where meant to go deep? JAX could’ve done a great job of taking away the short throws because they gambled on getting pressure.

Some may credit him for putting the ball in his best player’s hands.
