We did our part beating down Boston and most every other team but still got F$cked on some tie-break BS. Our guys 100% deserved to be in based on their play, but we get punished because the bulls are hot garbage and Toronto is trash.
This will just end up being another chip on our shoulder. This team runs on chips lol. We don’t get any love or respect from anybody so we have to go out and earn it. This will only motivate our young guys who already seem to have an edge. Taste that salt and get mad young fellas.
Fck the in season tournament, F%ck the bulls. Fck the whole state of NY. F*ck Adam Silver I’m out. (4th seed guaranteed tho).
Let’s just worry about demoralizing the Wizards tonight and Friday and pushing Brooklyn’s shit down their throats on Saturday.
I mean, the lesson is that all games matter.
We can make all kinds of excuses, but the fact remains that we got spanked by the Nets.
This sounds like coping. Maybe it isn’t. Either way, I am disappointed tonight. I wanted to see the Magic make the cut and I had convinced myself they were basically a lock.
A lot of us did. To quote Mr. Wonka, though:
“In your wildest dreams, you could not imagine the marvelous surprises that await you.”
I mean, this season has been a fabulous surprise so far and I believe there’s many more to come…
This is the saltiest thing I’ve ever read.
It’s disappointing that we lost out, and there’s not much more to be said. The only thing we can legitimately complain about is that we had no control over our own destiny during the final round of group play. Hopefully when the league is expanded to 32 teams, every final group game will be played at the same time.
every final group game will be played at the same time.
This is how it should have been set up. You have to have all the teams play at the same time, otherwise bs like this happens where the other teams know exactly what they have to do to advance and don’t play like they normally do.
At this stage the IST doesn’t mean much, but I was thinking about it today and realised that it’s still a chance to win in a competitive setting.
It’s not the title sure but I think with the single elimination format we had a much better chance at bringing home the cup than we will of even making it to the ECF this year.
It still goes on your resume and into your cabinet, it’s not meaningless at all. I’d say it’s more worth having than an all star appearance or even a top seed by the end of the season.
We’re still competing for the wildcard spot…
Maybe, but it sucks that other teams knew what they had to score to eliminate us and we were off so could not play our way in
Also I think the more high pressure games you get the better
