I was watching the timberwolves game and hearing giddey get boo’d on almost every single possession where he touched the ball made me think a bit. I would feel so horrible if he was innocent and he gets treated as a pedophile for the rest of his career.

I’m a woman, and I’m old enough to remember grown a$$ men hanging out at my high school. I remember being 16 and a 15yo girl I knew was trying to hook up her friend w/ a 20yo man we both knew: I advised the 20yo to stay away from that friend, but he seemed to ignore me. I remember being 17 and being pursued by a grown man: I told him I was 14, attended a local middle school, and that my father collected guns for fun; he still wouldn’t leave me alone. I have many more stories of men who willingly pursued teens or didn’t bother to do due diligence to make sure the girl they were trying to talk to was of age.
But this isn’t about me, this is about Giddey who cannot get away with being as reckless as some of the ephebophile Redditors downvoting me. Yes, he needs to check ID. He would’ve been better off.
