According to who? LPL fans and clowns like IWD? Yea right
Meanwhile Ruler himself said JDG couldnt lane vs T1 and they should’ve tried to play for lategame with scaling picks
Imagine comparing JDG to 2014 SSW, 2013 T1 K, 2015 T1 or 2020 DWG lmfao the blasphemy
Individually 2017 KT shits on them (Smeb>>369, Score=Kanavi, PawN>Knight, Deft>Ruler, Mata>Missing)
JDG were overrated. The Tigers weren’t though. 2016 ROX is miles better than 2017 SSG, 2018 IG, 2019 FPX, 2021 EDG and 2022 DRX
Showmaker clears
It’s almost like a player’s value is all about how good he is at actually winning games.
The gap between Faker and Rookie is bigger than the gap between Rookie and Crown
Monte/Thorin "Bang,Wolf,Marin,Bengi werent even that good they just played with Faker:
Also Monte/Thorin "Rookie is actually very close to Faker in the all time rankings and X or Y LPL player was better than Faker in 2015,16 or 17
Everything Faker or T1 does is overhyped to Dom
He has. Idk why this sub defends his time with SKT so much. He was the worst player on that team alongside Blank and a clear downgrade from Duke.
The first T1 game I’ve watched was the OGN 2013 Summer Semifinals vs MVP Ozone (still remember the stream having huge technical issues and some games being outright unwatchable as a result) and even back then I believe they were already one of the most popular team in Korea, they had more fans than Ozone from what I recall although the CJ Entus teams and probably Najin Sword were still more popular
T1 was never 8k gold down in any game they won
T1 vs JDG was the closest series T1 played but it was still quite one-sided overall.
There was no official mvp award in 2011/12/13
Mata,MaRin,Faker won MVP for the whole tournament, finals MVP only started in 2017
There a few runs of QF/Semi/Final that I’d consider harder than LNG/JDG/BLG tho
RNG/ROX/SSG in 2016
Longhzu/World Elite/T1 in 2017
EDG/Gen G/T1 in 2022
SSW werent even ahead meta wise. I mean how could they even have been when they were SSB’s sister teams and both squads scrimmed each other the whole year? Whatever they could come up with would be known to the sister team and vice-versa
SSW just had an insanely strong early game that made it extremely hard for teams to go into midgame without a huge gold deficit
It was due to Dandy and Mata gapping everyone at their roles and Looper/PawN being very reliable laners with Imp downright being a top 3 AD in the world and a better laner than Deft at the time
S4 SSW disbanded
S5 SKT lost MaRin
S6 SKT lost Duke
S10 DWG lost Nuguri
S12 DRX imploded
It’s very rare for LCK teams to be able to retain their players. It only happened after SSG won in 2017. I’m not couting 2013 SKT as imports werent a thing back then and neither were big money lpl contracts
And just like that TheShy’s top lead is gone lol
I wonder if Weibo picks Red Side if they lose this one
As someone who was watching every single game back in season 4 I can tell you that you are wrong
Faker was still the best individual player. His team was just shit because Poohmandu was washed due to taking a long break and being forced to return after the Casper AHQ Korea drama and Piglet suffered from it + Bengi had an horrible year overall
Faker individually was still beating up the likes of Dade or PawN badly in lane most of the time and had the most impact in carrying his mediocre team against superior opposition
Every role besides top
Worlds Finals ? Maybe
Finals in general? This game has quite the history of upsets and although some of those did not happen in tournaments as prestigious as Worlds you could still find even more shocking underdogs wins
WBG coming in the year after DRX and against the same team that DRX upset means that nobody is counting them out
Showmaker is 10 times better than Ghost
It’s debatable if Rookie was even better than KaKao or TheShy
