I remember Kim being coach of T1. They won spring 2020 very convincingly but didn’t even made worlds. Has to be one of the biggest downfall.
While Geng Roster definitely looks Upgrade. But if the meta is still tank Junglers then Geng would regret Losing Peanut.
Geng need to hope that map changes bring back carry Junglers in the meta. So that Canyon Chovy duo dominate everyone.
Wait wait wait. Is this THE same coach Kim that not only “resigned” from T1, but was fired from DRX as well? If so GenG is doomed.
Iirc, he was super negative towards all the T1 players including Faker. He didn’t have any belief in them at all, said all their wins were just lucky and that they didn’t have any talent. He also said that they had no chance of winning with Canna top and kept benching Veterans like Teddy and Faker for amateurs which led to many losses.
He was also fired from DRX for not bothering to show up for meetings, conferences, and just overall being uncooperative thus leading to a negative team environment. He also didn’t bother to check his email where DRX had sent him warnings about his performance.
He was also pretty disliked in the LPL during his time on IG as he often fought with players like Ning and TheShy.
He doesn’t exactly have the greatest track record and seems like an unpleasant and controlling person to work with. And if he tries to ego over veteran players like Chovy, Lehends, Canyon, etc., I can absolutely see this team mental booming and running it down.
From Above information it looks like he is very egoistic coach. I dont know what Geng was smoking before Getting him. I still dont understand why the hell did geng let score leave. They should not forget score won them 2 lck title this year while having a rookie botlane.
Score got fired because he let through Rumble/Jarvan/Ori twice and bombed out of quarters…
