They’re tracking to 37 wins, which is almost EXACTLY what their Vegas over/under predicted (36) wins.

I get it. They’re mediocre, and nobody wants to watch a mushy middle team with two guys hankering for max contracts on it and a third coming up.

But they’re also not like, the Pistons. They haven’t lost 12+ games in a row and this fan base would likely be apopletic if they rebuilt and had to live through that given how impatient we are.

That said, I’m not convinced you have to blow it up to shake things up, but I do think they absolutely need to make a few key decisions and pick a direction at this deadline, not on whether they want to win or lose, but a direction on what kind of team they want to be, because right now there’s no identity and that’s the biggest issue.

TLDR: it could be worse, sadly.

    Will Lou said it best. The appetite of the fan has changed since 2013. People want a competitive team so to them (the new fans since the start of the We The North Era) a below .500 team is the worst. Also people say the want to tank but look at the Pistons subreddit they are all on suicide watch
