They’re tracking to 37 wins, which is almost EXACTLY what their Vegas over/under predicted (36) wins.

I get it. They’re mediocre, and nobody wants to watch a mushy middle team with two guys hankering for max contracts on it and a third coming up.

But they’re also not like, the Pistons. They haven’t lost 12+ games in a row and this fan base would likely be apopletic if they rebuilt and had to live through that given how impatient we are.

That said, I’m not convinced you have to blow it up to shake things up, but I do think they absolutely need to make a few key decisions and pick a direction at this deadline, not on whether they want to win or lose, but a direction on what kind of team they want to be, because right now there’s no identity and that’s the biggest issue.

TLDR: it could be worse, sadly.

Well at this point, Masai doesn’t have much time- he either trades Pascal/OG, signs them, or lets them walk.

If he trades one, I think it would be Pascal. Then we would be in a rebuild/or retool depending on return.

If he signs both, and we finish this season between the 7-10 seed, and he decides to run it back next year, we have a problem.

If he lets both walk, without recouping any assets, that’s a firable offense in my opinion. But also means we would be in full tank mode and maybe get Cooper Flagg sweepstakes.

Who cares if it could be worse, I don’t want to watch a team that keeps treading water every year.

“You’re not the worst-looking woman I’ve ever seen…it could be worse, you’re at least average”

Will Lou said it best. The appetite of the fan has changed since 2013. People want a competitive team so to them (the new fans since the start of the We The North Era) a below .500 team is the worst. Also people say the want to tank but look at the Pistons subreddit they are all on suicide watch

Honestly, I think there is only 1 correct choice for the raptors - be high enough so the spurs get the pick, so it’s not haunting us next year and also trade guys mid season so you get some return and a fresh start.

I’m at the point where i’d rather have the raptors lose

just to really show the FO that the team aint going anywhere

winning only seems to make them think that they got a solid core here and they should run it back

we’re about 2 years delayed after this season its going to be 3 years of pretending and FO edging the fanbase
