He is extremely high skill ceiling, and all of his abilities has either AOE damage, CC, and team utility. He seems like he was designed for pro-players. I personally want to see what this champ can do in the hands of a mechanically gifted player.

Depends on Meta. He has high damage to deal in teamfight. But almost negligible mobility(except for W which has high cooldown) and survivability.

His R is pretty strong though very good for teamfights.

But problem in pro teams is that they are too rigid. They don’t want to change. Look if not for T1 at worlds we would just see xayah kaisa handshake at worlds.

I mean Apehlios is being played up to now after he has been gutted a few times. So idk who was smoking when they designed Hwei, but i guess he’ll be the Aphelios in the mid lane. No matter how many nerfs he gets he will probably fine some way to make it back just because of his versatility

It doesn’t seem like he’d be better than Azir. Pro-play and solo queue are both two different games so champions like Ryze & Azir are actually useful. Pros aren’t always picking the highest skill ceiling champions it’s usually what’ll just get them by like Ashe or Caitlyn support.
