I think this dude is mentally checked out of his Steelers experience.
I don’t even care about the fumble recovery effort. There were a lot of other guys just standing there too. The effort to block or engage during the play is what pisses me off. And he can’t blame that on thinking the play was over.

While it’s nice he apologized & took responsibility, it took him being excoriated in the media, left to lay in the bed he made by his coach, and video evidence he was lying, before he offered it up.
Hopefully he learns from this, moves on & it doesn’t happen again, but dude really needs to stop being so freaking whiney.

Then: AB antics, Ben passive aggressive comments, LBell drama. Nobody ever takes accountability
Now: Pickens says dumb shit on social media, gets his act together. Najee (rightfully) calls out the offensive performance - backs it up the next week. DJ does some crybaby shit on the field, apologizes
The drama and diva posturing is still there but it does feel like there is a better sense of accountability and less narcissism and anti social behavior compared to the previous decade
Bench him then trade him this off season
