I like Kirk. I say give him a long term contract that has him retire and stay on as a coach in some way. Keep him in the organization. Being around good people makes other people better.

Not sure the original thought was logical. What does it even mean? He wasn’t mobile to begin with so I doubt it matters at all for his remaining career.

I’d pay Kirk anything he wanted if it means never having to sit through a nightmare game like the other night. That was the worst most embarrassing performance I have ever seen. It was like watching a UPS driver play QB
There is no logical thinking with Vikings fans. These are the same guys that say pay 45m for JJ WHILE also saying he should sit the rest of the year. I’m sorry, if you want top non-qb money, you better be able to perform at the same level with Jaren Hall, Nick Mullins, Dobbs, or Mannion. If you require a top 10 qb to get 1600-1800 yard seasons, then you simply aren’t worth the “top of all time non qb” money
Eh, Akers came back super fast from his, and Kirk doesn’t actually run much anyway. But yeah I agree, I think it’s time to try to draft a franchise qb, and I’d rather use Kirk’s cap space to improve the trenches.
Roger’s is apparently coming back soon too and he had the same kind of surgery as Akers.
I don’t see why Kirk thinks he should make more money than Tom Brady did during his Bucs years. He should be making like $25mil tops. If he won’t take a team friendly deal similar to what Brady did let him walk.
If it was 10 years ago I might agree but with today’s medical tech not so much. Also this is Kirk FRICKEN Cousins!!!
