Lakers starters played until halfway in the 3rd quarter. No Booker, no Beal, and Durant only played in the first half. Lakers bench was atrocious. Cam Reddish, Christian Wood, and Rui Hachimura combined for 7 points. Collectively they were a -93.

The only real takeaway I have is I can’t wait for this season to start. So many fun teams to watch
Suns almost have too much depth lol, these guys are all competing hard as hell to get into the rotation. Metu has been one of the best guys off the bench this pre season, and couldn’t get in the game til late in the second half. KBD was one of the favorites to be the second starter, and also barely got on the floor. Both guys came in and immediately started contributing in a big way.
Eubanks finally showed us what Trailblazers fans have been saying all along, fans are going to be begging Vogel to play him more than Nurk on some nights.
Guess Bill Simmons was wrong, not just as simple as the lakers deciding to bully the suns. Remains to be seen if Beal is an upgrade over Landry Shamet though.

Our bench brought it back to a one point game after KD checked out at the half against Bron and AD. Definitely a bit of artistic license being taken with the title, but certainly not an encouraging performance by the Lakers.

A little crazy that the 3rd was the Suns best when none of the starters were playing against the Lakers starters. Definitely a good sign that our bench will hold up in the regular season
