I defended him quite a bit as well, he couldn’t catch a break here though, for whatever reason he was just worse here than he’s been in any other stop. But more than that, the reason I defended him was that he was just a better option than all defense less than zero offense (Shamet) or all offense less than zero defense (Ross) or no offense or defense (Lee post all star break, or really any other stretch of his career besides the first half of 22-23)

I was talking about it in another thread, it was almost surreal to listen to. With the business of sport you almost forget that we’re talking about someone that just lost their job/livelihood, and the necessary tact that should come when discussing that.

You’re going to get some real snarky responses, but it won’t be deserved.

It can change, but the question is whether or not it should and if it would do more damage.

If we believe that the play calling/play caller was the person most at fault, then the playbook can stay the same and the people creating the gameplan can likely call a better game using it.

If we’re going back to 08, it’s management for sure. Never seen the opinion of someone change as drastically as it did for Dumars

I’m not sure, but I would hope that the Rocket’s aren’t making that decision based on the 11 or so games he’s played with a new head coach, role, and teammates. Especially given that they’re playing well right now and winning.

Did anyone hear the announcement of the move, and all the subsequent quotes from the Spurs decision makers about the plan for this year, and think they were doing this because they thought this was going to lead to more wins?

They’re just evaluating guys and their limitations/possibilities on their way to another top pick.

Booker’s is his temper – I’ve seen him commit some atrociously bad turnovers and stupid frustration fouls because he’s upset he didn’t get a call, and it can really compound into multiple bad possessions

I made fun of a lot of the suns fans acting like we were doomed. But honestly, I kind of get it now. Book and KD together is like crack lol, being deprived of this even for a little bit really makes you appreciate what you have.

Suns fans have been pretty horrible towards him, it was a loss, but I feel like this game was still a reality check for this fan base. Some of it is trying to prop up book, some of it was the pain of losing Mikal. But this is still Kevin Durant lol

That Trevor Booth guy has been getting killed in Twitter all day for pretty much saying KD is washed after game 1.

Just an off night, and he still managed to contribute quite a lot. 10 boards and a consistent presence at the rim on defense.

Wiggins has very little wiggle ironically

Suns almost have too much depth lol, these guys are all competing hard as hell to get into the rotation. Metu has been one of the best guys off the bench this pre season, and couldn’t get in the game til late in the second half. KBD was one of the favorites to be the second starter, and also barely got on the floor. Both guys came in and immediately started contributing in a big way.

Eubanks finally showed us what Trailblazers fans have been saying all along, fans are going to be begging Vogel to play him more than Nurk on some nights.

Guess Bill Simmons was wrong, not just as simple as the lakers deciding to bully the suns. Remains to be seen if Beal is an upgrade over Landry Shamet though.
