Got a pretty nice incentive deal to go the next trim up. However I am hesitant as I have read a lot about how the X3M is a very rough daily. And how the s58 engines require high revs to get any power.

The m40i I got is a pretty fantastic overall vehicle. Low end torque in the b58 is fantastic, makes fun gunshot noises, quick, etc.

I am wondering why YOU or anyone would choose the X3M besides having bragging rights for the top trim vehicle. I know they are very fast and I am wondering operationally are they a lot more to maintenance and if so, is it worth it than …let’s say a tuned m40i?

What would you choose as a 6-10k miles a year suv?

Like others said an SUV is an SUV. Get the one that’s a better daily with more responsive low end torque.
