I’m from Missouri. I chose Grizzlies because the St. Louis Cardinals AAA affiliate (level right below the MLB) is the Memphis Redbirds. Also I was born in Tennessee but I have not lived there since I was 3 years old

    Central NY and I became a Grizzlies fan because I wasn’t into the NBA and I saw there were two brand new teams that I could immediately become a fan of day 1. So I went with Vancouver over Toronto. I liked the idea of experiencing a franchises entire history (or at least til I die)

    I’m from NZ, it was a perfect storm of moving in with some NBA fans, playing a lot of 2k and listening to a podcast episode about ZBo… Then there was the play-in game against Golden State. I went into the 2021-2022 season thinking I was the new fan of a promising young team that probably weren’t gonna win a lot… and then that season was insane. So now I’m hooked and you’re stuck with me, lol

    I’m from NY. I became a Grizzlies fan because of one of the old 2k games of all things. When I first started watching basketball more I was basically just a LeBron fan so I was kinda a heat fan, and while playing MyCareer I was drafted to the Suns so I kinda followed them for a bit, but then next 2k MyCareer I played I was drafted by the Grizzlies so I started following them a bit, and low and behold this was right at the start of the Grit’n’Grind era and I just completely feel in love with their style and became a full on Grizzlies fan and have stuck around ever since. Combined with being a Boise State fan (cries while thinking of the block-FG TD vs Memphis this year) it makes for a really weird trio of Grizzlies, Boise State, and NY Giants as my 3 favorite sports teams

    I’m Australian and adopted the Grizzlies because my partner likes them. He likes them from playing with the Gasol Grizzlies in 2k my career.

    Living in Richmond, VA right now but went to college at Oklahoma State and was a huge fan of Big Country so when he got drafted by the Grizz that was my team and it stuck. So I’ve been a Grizz fan pretty much since Day 1.

    I live in Spain and I am half Canadian. My father is from Vancouver, so I embraced the Vancouver Grizzlies. Toronto Raptors was a far second.

    Then came the move to Memphis, and that is something that doesn’t happen here. So I ‘rejected’ the Grizzlies and Raptors went to first.

    But immediately, the Grizzlies got Gasol, who I liked from Barcelona basket. So then I kept liking 'em Grizzlies.

    Now I like both ‘Canadian’ teams.
