Big game this Sunday. Was looking for some weaknesses that we can exploit but really couldn’t find much. Are there any weaknesses on their team?

Their OL and Purdy’s arm strength. When Purdy throws downfield, he anticipates throws at an insanely high level and it usually goes great, but those throws are so easy to intercept. Because his arm is “weak” he throws to spots well before they’re open so if our DBs watch enough film they should be able to jump a couple passes

Brock Purdy. Dude is gonna fold under pressure. Get the lead early and we should win.

Everyone to the right of Trent Williams on the OL and their secondary. Rest of the team is as stacked as it gets.

they aren’t good playing from behind. They’ve never come back from a halftime deficit I think. Could be wrong, but overall I know they struggle if they can’t play with a lead

Apparently, throwing the ball, when it’s raining cause… ya know… small hands Purdy… Whatever could that mean 🤔?

    It’s raining Sunday, I believe.

If you look at their 3 losses, besides scoring 17 points in each game, another common thread was Purdy having to use his legs more. So imo our edge guys, Reddick and Sweat, need to make sure he doesn’t get comfortable in that pocket.

I imagine they’ve watched enough film on our D Line to know that CMC won’t be able to pound it up the gut, so I imagine a healthy amount of outside runs from either him or whatever jet sweep shit they do with Deebo.

Alternatively, I can see them doing a lot of check downs to CMC or Kittle or some bubble screen type shit.

On defense, our O line will have their hands full with Bosa and Young. So a healthy Lane and a Maliata at the top of his game will be critical.

We can out-physical them. We’re one of a few teams that has the personnel to do it.

People talk Purdy this and Purdy that, but their offense really goes through CMC. Shut him down and things kinda fall apart. Our run D is good, so we’re primed for that.

Their OL isn’t great and their QB is horrible under pressure as evidenced by his poor streak. He’s also one of the worst QBs when playing from a lead.

My objective is to put pressure on him and score first. He benefits the most of any QB from weapons at his disposal, so it’ll be difficult if not impossible to take away the offense by double covering one player. Take away his first read and bring enough pressure to force him to throw the ball or take the sack and we should be good to go.

    1. Their line aside from Trent are average at best

    2. Purdy has not played well when trailing

    3. Shannahan doesn’t manage close games well

    Getting punched in the mouth

I would seriously consider taking the ball first if the Eagles win the toss.

Go down get a 1st drive TD, get them to punt then have the Eagles get another scoring drive.

Down 14-0 or even 10-0 near the end of the 1st quarter the game will be over

Not much obviously, plus our whole team is pretty banged up right now and they are getting healthy. Until we look like we have the energy out there do it I remain skeptical but a win here would put us a tier above the rest of the league. Its just gonna come down to winning the trenches and stopping CMC in my opinion, id rather force Purdy to clutch it in the rain

Brock Purdy’s biggest weakness in his career so far is playing from behind.

His completion percentage drops significantly and he’s more likely to throw interceptions.

49ers O line isn’t as good as the Eagles so there’s that.

Their defense is legit, but we’ve played against tough defenses before and won. Kansas City also has a tough defense and we took that game on the road.

Eagles also have home, cold, and potential rain advantage for this game. Eagles are very experienced in these conditions.

If the Eagles win, expect the inevitable 49er excuses saying that if we played them on a day with clear skies and in the Bay Area they would have won.
