There weren’t a lot of positives to take away from the game against the nuggets, but… One of the few that was particularly interesting to me was seeing that Cason still hasn’t missed a 3 this year.
Maybe this was a failure on my part, but the scouting reports I read on him seemed to focus on his defense and didn’t leave me with the impression that his shooting was this good. Is he just being careful about picking high-percentage spots? Is he particularly responsive to the way Chip Engelland teaches? Having seen 3 games, what do you expect his 3pt shooting percentage to be at the end of the year?
Cason was shooting 44% from 3 last year when he was in an off-ball role and before his injury last season. His shooting numbers fell off a cliff after he got hurt. He had definitely shown this kind of potential before.
