He doesn’t want nearly as many touches as those guys. His body can’t handle it.

I think you have to consider that for some of those guys, you can actually just pass them the ball anywhere and they can do something effective with it.

AD outside of post mismatches and lob finishes is just… yea. He’s not catching the pass as a short roll decision maker, he’s not running the offense out of the high post, he’s not facing up at the 3 point line to shoot or drive. It’s probably much harder to just pass the ball to AD and let him cook.

He might get some more easy looks if we actually had an offensive system in place. Just dumping the ball to him in the post and watching him get abused in double teams is what opposing teams want. He needs the ball while on the move. Some of his best scoring games were off those kind of looks.

I’m looking at the top 3 on that list of Sabonis, Embiid, and Jokic, and all 3 of them are being used as playmaking hubs from the high post or top of the key. I really think the Lakers should try using AD in that type of action and have him try to find others moving off the ball.

Well that’s partly because he can not self create from the post. Most of his points are assisted.

Those dudes can create for themselves AD can not

When he scored 55 points last season only 7 were self created.

AD is bad in the post and can not really guard dominant big men.

When you build a team around LeBron James, the team isn’t going to be very suited for your big.

He’s also BY FAR the worst passer and shot creator out of the high post of those 3, which is where they get so many touches.
