Lebron surpassed KAJ almost 40 decades of reign in terms of all time points leader.
What all time main stats will be surpassed first?
LIST
Wilt - 23924 all time Rebs
Stockton - 15806 all time Asts
Stockton - 3265 all time Stls
Hakeem - 3830 all time Blks
What will be surpassed first among them in your prediction?
These might be the ones no one touches. The game would have to make another large shift imo.
Not listed here but I think 3 pointers made will get broken again in the foreseeable future. Probably like 10-15 years after Curry retires someone will get it
The only players to make over 300 threes in a season, ever, are Steph (x4), Harden & Klay (1x each). https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/most-3-pointers-made-per-season
Steph is going to end this season with somewhere between 3650-3750. If he plays another year, he’ll definitely get to 4’000.
I find it hard to think there’ll be another player who can keep up his accuracy AND volume for a full 13+ seasons.
Idk, people said the same thing when Ray Allen had more than 400 3s than the next closest player. The great thing about sports and athletics in general is that humans have just consistently gotten better. Assuming the trend of a massive volume of three point shooting continues, I don’t see why someone else who grew up practicing that shot day in and out won’t get there eventually.
I think so too. Because many future nba players will try to be wanna Steph Curryish. And will take a lot of threes.
Hakeems
More opportunities these days. The rest are outlandish
Blocks, but I still don’t see that happening. Wemby would have to average 3 blocks playing 82 games for 16 seasons.
Wemby would need to average his current block rate for 20 years playing 70 games a season, and that’s easily the most likely one
I actually think wemby has the potential to break the all time blocks record in 17 seasons
To put Wilt’s boards record into context, someone would have to play all 82 games and average 10 boards a game for 29 years. And still need a few more boards.
Stockton played 19 seasons and averaged 80 games a year.
I don’t think the blocks record gets beaten either just due to the evolution of the game. More and more bigs are playing around the perimeter. Which means more and more defenders are being moved away from the paint.
