As the title states, what vehicle are you a huge fan of but would never want to deal with the ownership experience?

For me, I think all the early 1900’s high-end luxury cars are awesome. Rolling around in a 1920s Rolls Royce or Duesenberg would give you instant Batman or Bond Villian energy and I think that’s awesome. However, knowing that parts don’t exist for those cars, and the mechanical upkeep that needs to be done just to drive them would be financial suicide.

Any classic sports car that is hard to drive, has terrible reliability, terrible visibility, and is insanely expensive to maintain and repair.

While part of me really wants to buy a car like this, I have enough stress in my life.

Countach. It’s a childhood dream car I still love (the idea of), but I don’t think I’d even enjoy driving it.

Jaguar F type or Maserati Coupe. Beautiful cars but even after the depreciation curve the cost to get parts or service is the same as the car lmao.

Mazda rx8. I love the look, and I can make custom body panels to make it look even better (I had a 6 month autistic stint of photoshopping, planning, pricing, and resourcing rx8s). But the renesis motor is impossible to make power out of without custom irons and housings, and that’s something I don’t ever plan on venturing into. Love the idea of a track focused rx8, hate the reality of it.

Pre-WW2 cars, be it a Ford Model T/A or a Bentley Speed6. I know someone who COMMUTES in a Ford Model A, and…yeah no I’d get overwhelmed trying to operate the thing in a somewhat fluid AND URGENT manner.
