So, now that Riot is bringing back some champion quests for the preseason as stated in the preseason spotlight, it would be a good time to give Cho’Gath a long awaited easter egg.
The idea is:
Upon reaching 30 stacks of Feast and having rank 3 ultimate, Cho’gath can now use Feast on Structures, instantly executing them regardless of their health (including nexus).
First of all, this wouldn’t be OP. Not because it isn’t powerful, but in 10 years of playing Leauge, I have never seen a Cho’Gath reach more than 27 stacks of ultimate, and even less in ranked games. The usualy amount is around 12-18 stacks on a good Cho’Gath game. Reaching that breakpoing is incredibly hard and would only be possible at super late game, at a point champions have built items to deal with this massive tank.
Second, he still has to reach the structure to eat it and put the ult on cooldown, not being able to use it on the fight, so eating a turret might not be worth it if you let the enemy ADC live instead.
The reason is that on the first video ever released from League, there is a scene where Cho’gath eats/destroys a turret while Ryze runs through the rubble, and it would be a really cool idea to bring back this reference, plus it makes sense on his Lore, since he gets bigger and bigger to a point that structures can fit in his mouth.
I think 30 stacks is a reasonable amount, never going to impact a competitive game (heck he is barely played on competitive), but it can be more stacks if it needs to.
