We just faced 3 top five defenses and we came out of it with a top 6ish offense. We’re trending 8 points higher a game than last year with largely the same crew. And without our two greatest weapons in Anthony/Taylor not playing majority of the season and especially not playing together.

This season is funny because we’ve seen really good starting talent on both sides of the ball…but injuries/circumstances have kept us from seeing it play at the same time. Tis football.

We’re just breaking at this point because we’re all out of cornerbacks, and we lost our nose tackle for six games. That leaves the defense vulnerable inside and outside.

Stewart was the one defender we couldn’t afford to lose because we have no depth at that position.

I never expected our cornerback room to play as well as they have, but they’re all injured.

Freeland has played okay at both tackle positions, but he’s still giving ground against bull rushes. He’s still better than our tackle depth had been over the past few seasons though.

We have substandard players at important positions, and that makes us a mediocre team.
