My buddy forwarded this to me this morning. Been a die hard since the 80s with my dad. Born and raised Souther Cali but SF was like a second home. Used to watch the games and fireworks from my Uncle’s boat on Pier 39

Just my observations - When you think about the Dallas game, a lot of the TDs were down the middle. Guys were open. Most of Brock’s INTs now are down the middle in Triple sometimes quadruple coverage.

Brock- I still think Brock is really good and he’s exclusive like Steve Young. There were a lot of incredible passes yesterday even 4th quarter running out of the pocket then throwing across his body across the field to Kittle. That reminded me if Mahomes / Allen.

He also bounced back after an INT throwing mid to deep balls down the middle. Running game is figured out (CMC 54 yards) and too much is being put on Brock. I watch with my wife and told her every time when a pick is coming when they’re down and behind. Brock is being pressed to make big plays and he’s still inexperienced dealing with adversity. I still believe he has “It” but is going through his growing pains.

BA- He still has crucial, easy drops. He had that drop right to him and hit his helmet. Even last year when Brock had the craziest scramble and BA was in the corner end zone and dropped the TD. That’s why he was in Kyle’s doghouse the first few years. Do we have a true WR1?

Deebo- He’s such a big playmaker and his YAC is missed. Problem is that he’s always injured.

Jennings / Bell- When Defenses figure you out, don’t get why Shanny can’t give these guys a chance. Jennings was basically non existent and he’s Mr. Clutch. Totally under appreciated or under rated. Bell isn’t getting any playing time and he has the most yards in the NFL. Yes, preseason but he’s proven.

Running Game- CMC 50+ yards. Mitchell 2. Mason has been really good. Better than Mitchell this year. Why doesn’t Kyle give him more touches and also preserve CMC?

Offense- After Dallas, Defenses have just figured out Kyle. Even if we get more personnel, will it really matter if Kyle can’t adapt his play calling?

Defense- You guys already know about this. Wilks isn’t getting fired this year. They showed some flashes yesterday. First series they had that possible INT (Oliver) and Sack but Burrow pulled a Whodini. They need to close the deal.

I still think Ward and Oliver make good plays but we need another stud secondary. Lenoir is growing up but not consistently good enough yet. Ward can’t do it all on his own. Front line was a little better yesterday.

We got the Jags (longest active win streak), SeaCawks 2x, Ravens, Eagles. Out of those 5 games, how many do we realistically? It’s annoying that SeaCawks don’t have huge, big name playmakers (and Geno) but Carroll is a really good coach tbh. They’ve been drafting really well and are sneaky good. We’re gonna have our hands full.

Gotta lower expectations unless the coaching staff have a “come to Jesus” moment during the BYE. At least we can’t lose next weekend 😆

Go Niners! ❤️💛

5 defensive lineman scheme has caused issues in our ability to run the ball inside. Without Trent, we also haven’t been able to run the ball outside so teams can stay in that formation.

Purdy has been really good passing the ball down the field lately because those are the open throws, but he has been less than good in the tighter windows that having more people close to the line of scrimmage presents.

Overall, Deebo and Trent will change the way teams have to defend us and that will open the offense.

We’ve also had 8 drives inside the opponents 40 the last 3 weeks that have resulted in Turnovers, missed FGs, or turnovers on downs.

It’s not as bad as it seems imo. Things need to change and will, but there is a lot of hope.
