I admittedly wanted Carr gone. I don’t hate the guy, in fact always wanted him to succeed with us. However, I just think we gave him way too many chances and could see he just doesn’t have what it takes. Kinda felt like he wanted to be a Raider partly because he knew we gave him every benefit of the doubt for so long.
Even though I kinda wanted whatever team got him to get the “Derek Carr Experience”, I wanted him to do decently.
New Orleans fans HATE him. Like not how Raiders we’re frustrated of seeing the same inconsistency for 10 years, but more of a Josh McDaniels type of fan hate. Go on X and just search “Derek Carr” trending posts. Go on r/Saints and just scroll. I mean it’s BAD.
Even though I thought it was time to move on, I feel really bad for him. He is back up material. Jimmy G doesn’t even get this kind of hate from us.
To top it off he got SMASHED today by Bruce Irvin. I pray he’s okay.
That being said, please don’t come back to Raiders next year LOL
There’s no reason to feel bad for carr. He got what he wanted, went to a cupcake division, in a dome, fat contract, etc. Had yet another franchise roll out the red carpet for him.
Now he’s just doing his “Carr” thing. Get hurt, play ok at times, suck most of the time. With us he lied his ass off for 9 years acting like a leader taking the blame and talking about improving yet never doing it. He’s an actor, straight up. One of the fakest personas in the NFL. Plays the good guy card to a T. I’m not saying he’s a not a good dude. But he knows what he’s doing. No reason to feel bad. He took that acting performance to NO and look at their sub and fanbase, burning to the ground because yet again, half the fan base fell for his act, the other half are calling it like it is.
Carr is a shit QB because of his mental game, he is mentally weak, extremely… physically he’s as gifted as they get. The game and position especially requires mental strength and intellect to pave the way for the physical aspect to shine. NO fans can see that and are feasting on him. It’s a different breed down there in the South. Not the raiders org where we worship and coddle our players. He’s getting exactly what he’s earned. Finally. He wasted our time for years and years. He’ll probably get another shot with another team but that will be it. He never should have been a franchise QB for 9 years. Ever. That was our fault.
