What are good items that feel bad to build?

An example for me is Knight’s Vow. On support tanks it’s generally one of the better win rate items (example Alistar) but the item itself gives pedestrian stats and it is far from exciting to build or use.

Are there other items that give the same disappointment even though they’re probably the best legendary to build?

    Jak’sho by far. This item just isn’t fun. It is a tank stat stick with an unique effect that … procs once and often you don’t even notice the proc. And then its just gone the rest of the fight until it resets. Heartsteel was done a lot better, Jak’sho just feels disappointing. It doesn’t even feel like ‘‘wow I just go a nice powerspike’’.

    Its the opposite end of the spectrum, but my favorite item is Runaan’s Hurricane. I love the attack speed and the extra shots, but damn is such a hard item to find good reasons to build… and its always a little too late on the build path.

    Steraks and DD for me. Used to really like that, but I recently feel at a certain point in my build they feel really awkward to get

    Most of the time items with like 900+ combine costs feel bad, especially when you have no single component costing more than 800g. If you want a high one time cost you have items like NLR or BF you add, you don’t need another 1100g for the combine costs. Just add one Tome (140 AP then in total like on the PBE) and you reduce the combine cost to 700g.

    DC, Fimbul, Horizon Focus, …

    Especially when such an item is your 1st or 2nd slot item. 4th or 5th slot is a lot different.

    Too often are items niche because they have too high combine costs.
