Considering how small his game check likely is, if they fine him for that hit that injured Carr, depending upon the size of the fine, could Irvin potentially be one of the first players to have actually paid the NFL to play in a game (if they screw him like the 43k they hit Saint with)?!? That would be insane. Clearly, as an older vet in his first game since last year, he isn’t used to these new rules where breathing too hard in the direction of the other teams QB is considered roughing. For the majority of his career, that was simply considered a great play by a DE & a QB hit/pressure on the stat sheet. Glad we signed him though…he is a dawg & showed today that he’s still got some gas left in the tank, getting a sack & a QB hit already.
