Listen, I know how it is to be a fan of this team. I know how it is to be a fan of football. But please, can we not overreact in the game thread when it’s only 6-0?! And I know I’m going to get flamed for this, but it makes it so hard to come here and enjoy the games with fellow fans when the reaction gets so ridiculously overblown five minutes into the game.

Today, after two early three announce everybody had given up. The game thread became so toxic! It just makes it unbearable and hard to enjoy. And I want to come here and enjoy this because this is my favorite place to be on Sundays during 49ers games. Let’s try to do better

    I agree. I don’t even post in r/49ers game day threads anymore because of how overreactive and toxic it is. I just post in r/NFL. The Eagles fans are actually more tolerable than the ones that post in this subs GDT.

    To be fair, we finished the first quarter with like -8 yards. The Eagles had like over 100 yards and they were moving the ball fairly well. It was looking pretty bad. Obviously the Niners completely turned things around, which is great, but after that first quarter I can definitely understand why people weren’t feeling good about this game.

    I find I enjoy the games way more when I stay out of the game thread lol. That goes for my teams of any sport I follow though.

    Who cares what people say that are emotional in a game thread. Most people are emotional say a bunch of shit they don’t mean or overreact

    I get so sick and tired of the oh please don’t say this be more faithful gatekeeping most are hear every single game and eat sleep and bleed this team. Some of us don’t react the same as you.
