We are not a championship team at the moment. We have too many young guys to ever be good on the road. We dont know how to win in tough games yet. Our cornerstones are all 21 and under. Curry, Lebron, Nikola were 27 when they won their first ring. Giannis was 26. Give the guys some time to learn the game and correct mistakes. I think our winning streak gave fans false hope and didn’t realize we beat unhealthy teams at HOME.

I still believe in the Core of Jalen, Sengun, Bari. I think Jalen being drafted at 2 made the fans turn on him because he has higher expectations, which is granted. But the kid is like 150 lbs. He needs to fill out his body with muscle to attack the rim how he should. He also needs to mature. He will never be a great player until he takes it serious. Focus on the game and lock in. He doesn’t have the Alpha mentality like Ant Edwards do. Im a fan of his game but he’s very limited. He still leads his class in 30 & 40 point games so I know he’s capable of being a good player. Jabari has the same issue. Muscle. He’s a good defender but cant hold bigger guys. Jabari has a elite midrange but cant seem to make a contested 3 or even a 3 in transition. If he can shoot it confidently like MPJ he will be a force. And lastly Sengun. I think he has the highest upside and definitely is the #1 option. My biggest issue with Alpi is his constant complaining to the refs. Its doesn’t help. They will make sure to not call anything if you whine about it. Luka and Lebron have the same problem. Its frustrating to watch. He also cant defend well. He is good at help side defense but 1v1 he bbq chicken. We need a defensive center to back him up.

With all the being said, This team is almost structured exactly like the Nuggets team. The only difference is experience. We need our guys to continue growing and mature.

The thing with Jalen is he is missing core fundamentals.

I swear if he would just do normal shit sometimes, he’d be a lot better.

His basketball IQ isn’t the best, but he has the athleticism to do a lot of stuff. But those two don’t mesh well when you don’t know what to do with that athleticism.

For example, when he drives to the basket, he doesn’t have good ball protection. And when he does make it to the rim, he has a bunch of opportunities to hit the layup or dunk. But a lot of times, he tries some moves that are not needed.

Idk, dude just seems like he’s just out there trying to get into the game but never really does. And when he finally does, it’s like a one and done until sometime later.

This sub really thought this team was making the playoffs after beating a bunch of injured teams at home

As long as Jalen thinks he’s the best player on the team, we aren’t doing shit. Rockets need to get something for him while he still has some value

Yeah, sometimes we all forget how young the core is. Expectations are high but development surely can’t catch up so fast. Still on the right track. Being a witness to this long road’s start is great. The Rockets started very well by adding some pointshot fitting pieces in the offseason so expectations grew too soon than expected. Hopefully, the management and coaching will keep doing the right things and show us a legacy growing more and more… Great years to come!

Agreed, and the roster flexibility going forward will allow for a lot of options to get better along the way. That doesn’t mean I can’t hold them to a high standard and be disappointed when they lose though

Years away? Dude, how many years are the rockets supposed to be bad or average? It’ll be almost a decade by your timeline, which is terrible.

Part of the reason Jalen Green is a high flyer is because he is so thin. If he gains weight he will lose some explosiveness and I don’t think he will ever gain much weight. He has that thin body style that always gets pushed around on defense too like Trae Young, Allen Iverson, and Deangello Russel. He also has mediocre length, isn’t the best shooter, and is overall a disappointment. I would much rather have a 21 year old Jamal Murray than Jalen Green.
