The only place to go is up. Understandable that everyone hates what is happening to our beloved franchise. Things won’t change until there is massive turnover in the front office. I can’t stand looking at what was done and dwelling on it, so I choose to look forward. Who would be available, what can be changed to be better, etc.

It first starts with identifying and addressing the weaknesses. There’s a lot, so it’s hard to fuck up. Clearly there’s a flaw in our draft process, training/coaching (even though I felt we had a step up in some regards from last year, mostly on defense).

Everyone wants Ben Johnson. He’s the clear cut best/top choice for HC, the stats this year and last speak for themselves (top 5 in YPG and PPG). However, I don’t think fitterer is the guy that would lure Johnson here.

He’s also an NC State grad, so that may entice him to come home. I’m sure he’s worked with Johnson to acquire offensive talent in the draft, and looking at Gibbs and LaPorta tear it up as rookies should be evidence of that.

It’s dark times right now, I choose to hold on to hope for a brighter future. The Texans were in a similarly bad spot with Watson, and with the right coach, and good drafting, turned it around in a year. It’s possible.
