I’m ashamed and embarrassed for them. It’s not right and not fair. What has happened since the beautiful Istanbul days?
In my head, I keep thinking Serena and Maria would NEVER show up and accept these kind of conditions. The girls have to flex their power…I think they have more than they realize. Who are they afraid of really? They hold all the cards.
Just my thoughts as a disgruntled fan. Our WTA favorites deserve SO MUCH BETTER.
The WTA is such a mess. I don’t follow it much anymore but with the ATP they constantly put out fun content of the players during tournaments which is how we get the memes like zverev always “putting himself in there” and how we all know nishikori wishes he was a penguin so we get to know the players personalities as well to help the players build brands for themselves. I’m not sure if the WTA does anything like this but if they do I never see it.
What exactly is so bad for them? You didn’t even mention anything in your argument. They already are treated like celebrities
Can someone ELI5 what’s the problem with the WTA please? I don’t know much about it.
