He will go to a team that offers a long term contract.
He doesn’t have a choice on where the team chooses to trade him.
Doesn’t this mean we’d have to pay him then?
That’s not what we do in the house that Ralph built
Pay him before the Chiefs do
My thought is that we won’t get him
Bears fan here (and bills). Johnson isn’t flashy. He had 1 INT in 3 years before getting 2 versus Vegas 2 weeks ago (one was a pick 6)
He’s not flashy. He won’t make dramatic plays. But he’s solid. He’s dependable. He doesn’t get thrown to a ton because he can cover.
He’s also a bit injury prone.
But if the bills are considering cutting Tre in the next 1-2 years, Johnson IMO would be worth extending
I’m always torn when it comes to acquiring a player you will immediately have to pay before seeing them in your system. From what I know about him now, Jaylon Johnson is a CB1 and would signal the end of Tre’s tenure in Buffalo (unless he’s released and returns on a cheap salary), and if we get the Jaylon Johnson that’s played in Chicago so far then we’re in great shape at the position.
We need this so fuckin’ badly.
