Title says it all. Tomorrow, Nets fans eat good.
Absolutely love Marks. I was always a big fan of Marks but gave him shit for not resigning Kyrie (even though I’m pretty sure that has to do more with Joe) but it’s already been great with DFS and Dinwiddie. But I love what he is doing with this current team the most. Getting a bunch of solid role players on one team and inflating their stats to either sell high or keep us competitive and build on this core
I think it’s tilted in the Nets favor for now simply because we have one of the Sixers picks and Harden is gone after a melodramatic few months.
BUT–the Nets would truly win this trade if all the pieces the Sixers got back (Morris, Covington, Batum) left the team after their contracts expired, the Sixers failed to reach the Conf Finals again, AND the Nets decide to trade Simmons next year for another haul of picks.
I think the jury is still out on this one.
Can’t wait for Embiid press conf after being eliminited from the playoffs and barking on Maxey and Morris cause they can’t carry his flopping ass
The Sixers traded James Harden, Ben Simmons, Andre Drummond, Seth Curry, P.J. Tucker, Filip Petrusev and 2022 & 2027 first-round picks.
In return Sixers recevied Marcus Morris, Robert Covington, Nic Batum, KJ Martin, two second round picks, a 2028 first round pick and possibly another 1st rounder.
This is not good execution if you’re a front office executive. In fact these type of transactions could lead to a dismissal even without Joel Embiid asking out.
Sixers will now try and trade for a star but who might be available? Zach Levine? He has long term knee problems. Cavs are gonna want a whole lot more than Philly can afford to trade Donovan Mitchell.

Say his name.
Ben Simmons
