Can we please stop talking about this game without context? Yes his QBR was one of the lowest in the league this week but that is an overly simplistic way to look at that game. Pouring rain, 4th string center, nothing going on the ground, dog shit play calling, 4 dropped passes, another member of the o-line tears achilles, dexter lawrence had the most pressures for an interior d linemen in one game in almost two decades (15), thibodeaux was DESTROYING becton all game long and yet STILL with 24 seconds left zach and the offense got it done. let’s not forget zach drew thibodeaux offsides in a critical penalty that stopped the clock. zach became the first qb since 2000 to win a game with two 25+ yard completions within 25 seconds of a 4th quarter. did he take a couple bad sacks? absolutely. not a perfect game. but a GOOD game and that was enough for the jets to win a 3rd straight game. we can talk about the giants mistakes all day long but the jets won’t be committing those dumbass penalties again that gifted the giants a touchdown. i just had to rant sorry, the discourse in the nfl media is driving me nuts.

Our standard for “good” QB play is so pathetically low that it’s hard to know where to begin. You don’t need QBR, you just need a pair of eyes to watch how every single play, positive or negative, is a huge struggle with Zach at QB.

They won. He finally showed a pulse when it mattered. Great. But he didn’t play well. Not by any standard of modern NFL football.

I’m glad op clarified that it wasn’t a perfect game, just a GOOD game. Jesus Christ this fan base is so fucking starved of even average level QB play
