It’s not good. But we all knew that. I really hope the defense can turn around and play like it didn’t last couple years. The talent is obviously there. Get us Jaylon Johnson Lynch!

I listened to their main show analysis of the game and it was basically saying “this is in line with how he’s been playing all year” except when he threw ball to defense, it got caught instead of dropped. They were happy with his scrambling and the fact that he was pushing it down field for 11.8 YPA.

The trouble is no offense is sustainable when you have pressure in your face half of the time you drop back.

Purdy is leading the league in Yards per attempt, 1st down % and Throws over 10 air yards. And those numbers have been going up in the last 3 games.

He’s pushing the ball downfield at a high rate so accusations about him being a YAC merchant now look stupid. The new narrative is he’s a turnover machine with PFF citing a lot of TWPs from him.

TWPs are the price of him pushing the ball downfield at this rate.He just has to avoid overanticipating throws over the middle.

I’m not worried about the offense, even with the line playing like shit. People talking about Deebo’s injury impacting the offense, I think the real issue is Trent being hurt. Run game sucks without him and Purdy has less time to throw without him. Once he’s back, the offense will be back to normal.

The defense, on the other hand, is a mess. Warner is the only one that’s consistently played well. Bosa is finally getting some pressure, but not finishing and has sucked against the run. He’s been giving up on plays too, the non-stop motor he had is gone.

Hufanga has dropped off a cliff. Gipson too, though I’d argue he played way above his level last year and gas regressed to his norm.
