Aight so i know half of the people on here want embiid and the other half doesnt may i ask why on both ends? Im on the side that wants him for sure, i do think he can elevate us to a different level so i dont understand the reason as to not wanting him. Now that being said i would NOT give up randle AND rj maybe just one but not both that would be really stupid but i trust the knicks office to do a good job to package something together IF he does become available because i know were gonna be a destination for him and we all know it. Just wanna see your guys different point of views on this.
I’m not sure how we could trade for Embiid and still have a team that’s better than the 76ers right now. I’m seeing mock trades including Randle, Mitch, IQ, Grimes and picks…what’s even left of the team after that? Is the supporting cast strong enough to take the team to the next level? I don’t think we can trade more than 2-3 of these guys and still have the necessary depth to compete
Mitchell IQ RJ or Randle, not both 4 picks. It’s better than what Suns paid for Durant
Just focus on our team now and the rest will fall in to place.
Winning and the development of our young player increases our ceiling regardless if we make a trade or not. If Mitch keeps playing like DPOY candidate and RJ keeps playing like a borderline all-star than this team actually might have what it takes to win the East. By the end of the year Mitch and RJ might have increased their value to the point that they can swing an Embiid deal by themselves. If that happens then the FO has to decide of whether they even want to make a trade like that and shorten our window.
Tough decisions, but we can’ speculate until how we see how the season plays out.
i ask this in every embiid thread and i haven’t gotten a good answer yet.
tell me the roster (~9) that gets us to the finals w/ embiid (obv minus whoever we trade to get him):
No thank you for a guy who is injury prone and hasn’t proven anything in the playoffs and has a suspect MVP award.
