After watching the first four games, it seems like the Raptors are heavily investing in the development of Barnes and giving Dick some quality minutes. This might indicate that the FO is looking to the future and banking on these draft picks.
As for the free agents, their value is holding steady or even dropping, so we might be in a good position to acquire some solid role players, either through trades or free agency.
If Barnes and Dick don’t pan out as potential cornerstones, I wonder if the FO would consider packaging them in a trade deal with one of our free agents. Thoughts?
Though to value picks because each year they come up is very important. Rumours was 2023 was a good draft year, 2024 will be less so, not sure about 2025 and 2026 has Boozer and Flagg which must be good because I know their names and they’re not being drafted for years.
