Like others, I’m not particularly happy we are standing pat so far regarding the trade deadline, particularly to see Chase Young go so cheaply to the 49ers. However, how bloody refreshing is it that we are having these types of debates this far into the season instead of wondering who we should pick in the top five of the NFL draft next year? Our team is 6-2 and we are not used to this, and it’s actually a wonderful thing that Holmes and Campbell have put us in a position where we are doubting them for not making moves today. My point is this, the only reason we are having these discussions is because of these two men who have totally turned around our franchise (with major kudos to Sheila as well). Maybe we should trust them a little more in terms of knowing what they are doing today. So many of us were outraged during the draft this year, and look how wrong we were. I’m hoping that if no moves are made today, we will look back on today and realize that once again our fearless leaders knew what they were doing.
