We all know that Bidwell is notorious for his intrusiveness when it comes to his coaches( going over film with them every week) do you think maybe Gannon wanted to keep dobbs for one more game at least but Bidwel said no way? Just going by Gannons immediate post game comments about Dobbs being the starter against the Browns

    Not at all.

Most likely this happened after the confirmation Cousins was out for the year, and MIN started asking about QB’s. End of game Sunday all Gannon knew was that next week its business as usual. Then the talks started so he pulled Dobbs and let them work that since they knew MIN needed a QB.

I almost guarantee this was a Monti call looking to get something knowing they weren’t going to likely keep Dobbs next year and setup a new contract.

Nope. If anything JG wanted to trade Dobbs to show K1 he believes in his comeback.

It also keeps the haters from calling for Dobbs as soon as Kyler throws a pick or makes a poor throw. There’s a reason why they say the QB2 is the most popular player on an NFL team.

probably a Monti call. Kyler was coming back soon and this lets him recoup some of the value he traded away.

Is this something we all know? I’ve never even heard of this before
