Lately, for me it’s a tie between the fetch quests and lack of save options in Nier Replicant, and the Yakuza Like A Dragon ending.

Ubisoft open world games. Absolute filled with garbage map objectives. It’s like Ubisoft doesn’t know how to fill their games with fun mechanics so they fill it with dog shit

I remember playing MGSV Phantom Pain and getting annoyed at how long everything took. For example, extracting at the end of a mission involved calling in the helicopter, waiting for it to arrive. Once it did, it hand to lower down and you would hop on and sit there and wait for it to take off. Once it did you would then look around while it flew off. The whole sequence took ages. And then landing at the base was another long sequence. It just annoyed me and I remember saying to me partner that this game is not respecting my time and inflating the time it took to complete but taking forever to get started and finish missions.

Mass Effect 2 is full of minigames that are a waste of time. The planet scanning is tedious, the hack minigames are not fun at all, and both are entirely necessary to do over and over throughout the game. I breathe a sigh of relief every time I get to Mass Effect 3 on a playthrough because they totally cut the hack minigames, so Shepard just plays with their omni tool for a couple of seconds at locked doors instead. The planet scanning was streamlined, too.
