Like, writing an adventuring party for a sci-fi setting is incredibly easy, including the following:
- Warrior = Heavy infantry, wielding an assault rifle, LMG, grenade or rocket launcher.
- Rogue = Light infantry, wielding a handgun, SMG, shotgun, or sniper-rifle.
- Mage = Engineer, for base and vehicle building.
- Cleric = Medic, for healing and reviving teammates.
So why don’t we see most other RPG/shooter hybrids attempt companions in much of the same way as either Mass Effect or The Outer Worlds?
