Bro but is RAS off the charts. Seriously tho, were not going to know how this pans out until the end of the season and if they can get a deal done with him. Until then I remain cautiously pessimistic.

The Bears are going to try and extend Sweat. Young is purely a rental. Young has major injury history. Sweat has missed 7 games in his entire career (due to a fractured jaw of all things). The edge class this year is weak relatively speaking, and this fills one of their biggest needs this offseason.

Comparing this to the Claypool trade is stupid. They traded for Claypool based on potential. Sweat has proven he can produce at a high, consistent level.

I’m not saying it’s a great trade. I think it’s good. It might be a slight overpay, but not nearly to the same level as Claypool. But some trades have more context than others. I remember when everyone was freaking out about the return we got for Mack when it was the only way to fully get his contract off the books.

So many of you have low standards and that’s really sad.
