Our small business contracted an agency to complete an important design project for us for 10K. We made sure to check through the SOW and all looked well specified.

However, during the project itself, the team working for us became highly dismissive to any concerns we had about the deliverables, to the extent of nocking, interrupting, or basically attacking the comments we had instead of trying to understand our point of view or our requirements. At this rate, we are on track to creating something that we cannot use. When I brought up the concerns to the agency’s CEO through a long series of chat messages, he ignored all of them and only cherry picked one to respond to.

At this point, the amount of gaslighting and mental trauma I’ve endured is too much, and I’m thinking about terminating early to prevent further losses. I have already paid 7K advance but still only at a very early stage of the project. Can I still pull out? The contract doesn’t clearly specify this and given how dismissive the agency’s founder is I’m afraid to even talk to him about this.
