    I read somewhere recently that she was not alone in that airplane. She had a man co-pilot. Is this true or not?

        Great, that’s what I thought. So why does nobody ever talk about him? Surely coconut crabs feasted on him too.

          Because she wasn’t. She was the first woman to fly Solo across the Atlantic. The fated flight would have seen her become the first woman to Fly around the world, no mention of being Solo.
