My biggest concern with Shae is that he ends up on the floor so much. I just don’t want the kid to get hurt throwing himself at the rim in traffic.

The 10 FTA’s tonight, along with JG getting 10 FTA’s is more of an effect of DET being so young. The skill of regularly getting to the line is the last thing to come in the NBA. JG didn’t get to 5-6 per game until he was 26, the first year in DET. Ant still hasn’t gotten there yet (as of last season). Took Dame 4 years to get up to his career average of 6 FTA’s, and he didn’t get to 9+ until last year, his 10th season. If Shae can average the 3 FTA he was through the first 4 games, that would be great for his second season. I just wouldn’t “expect” SGA level FTA’s from here on out. :)
