Just another one of those games where the Heat throw away a game by shooting an excessive amount of 3’s and just refusing to attack the basket consistently.

The 3pt attempts vs FT attempts ratio is just awful again. It’s not the officiating. It is simply lazy, lousy shot selection. The most frustrating part is - how all those 3pt misses - more often than not — turn into points on the other end. I call those possessions empty/wasted possessions because the Heat come up empty as a result of wasting the possession with lousy shot selection.

This team is now 1-4. Some people want to down play the situation and say “ it’s early” “the Heat are not a regular season team.” But you can’t dig yourself into too deep a hole in the regular season and expect to make the playoffs - especially when so many other teams actually made attempts to improve their roster.

They’ll have to figure something out by next game and begin to turn this around and not let it spiral further.
