Rob doesn’t seem to like Sophie right? His digs about bringing her down to earth, his comment of seemingly punishing her by living in that studio unless she asks family for money, him arguing with everything she says and always having to be right, and him having 0 tolerance for any conversation that matters to her. Either he just doesn’t like her, or there is one of those weird manosphere mindsets about her being young and needing to be directed.
Also though their relationship highlights a problem I’ve had with the 90DF universe for a while. Producers and edits heavily focus on the problems a couple has, and we have very few moments (if any) of seeing the good in any of these couples relationships which makes it impossible to root for almost anyone.
Let’s be real. The dude is in his 30s with basically nothing to his name. He’s miserable ! Having a pretty girl boosts his ego but he’s conflicted because he knows he doesn’t deserve her cuz he has nothing to offer her
Rob wants a pushover who’ll tolerate his bullshit, will never criticize him and will fawn all over him. He’s tryna act like Sophie only criticizes his living situation because she’s got wealth… NO Rob your living situation is just musty af and we ALL think so lol
the thing that pissed me off was that he kept calling her spoiled and rich bc she wanted a bathroom in the house. That’s not spoiled that’s a normal thing to have in an average American household. Especially as a young woman , that’s absolutely insane. I think she needs to leave before it’s too late , cause then she’ll want her hair and nails done “oh that’s no even needed , you should be more down to earth” “you’re such a spoiled rich girl” he almost seems jealous of her and her lifestyle.
I don’t think Rob likes women. He wants to have a beautiful woman on his arm, just so that he can feel like a big man. But he certainly doesn’t seem to enjoy her company.
