Last year, people were already ready to call Tolbert a bust. He looked lost the few snaps he was on the field. He had a whopping 2 catches for 12 yards. But with Gallup clearly struggling, the Cowboys have been willing to drastically reduce his snaps and give Tolbert a chance, despite Tolbert not looking even close to decent before this year and Gallup having been paid big money. Why are we so unwilling to do the same for Terrence Steele? I get we paid him big money. That didn’t stop us with Gallup. I get he’s coming back from a major injury. So is/was Gallup. I’m not ready to move on from him. But I don’t see why we are completely unwilling to bench him at least for a game or two and see what Richards may be able to do on the right side. If nothing else, let Steele rest a little and see that his position as a starter isn’t guaranteed. If that helps him get back to full strength or gets him to fight for his job, great. If Richards is worse than Steele, then we just go right back to Steele.

I’m not sure if I have the same confidence in Edoga, Hoffman, or Richards to replace Steele. Anywho, I wouldn’t be mad if I saw us try just that

Probably because Steel is only 10.5 months from his injury so they are hoping there is room for improvement.

Gallup is almost 2 years from his injury and he clearly isn’t going to get any better than he is now.

Ah yes, unheralded 3rd round pick who was a complete train wreck last year.
