If anyone is curious as to how something like this happens, it’s called “a gut.” Instead of printing out a copy of the cover art for display, or having one shipped as a part of the monthly marketing material (which they typically would have a crap ton of cover art for marketing crap), they would need a display copy for the floor. The copy of the disc has “technically” never been played, only taken from the case, inserted into a paper sleeve, and then stored in a drawer, thus the “new” lable.

Guessin in this case (I’ve not worked there in a decade plus) they lost the case (stolen/broken? who knows.) Now, when I was managing, that disc would be moved out of new and you’d move it to used (you’d count it as a loss, DM might get miffed, but W/E you don’t have a f’n case.) Seeing as this was an online buy, it prolly came from distro. They DO NOT CARE lol, or at least they didn’t when I was there.

The disc is new is not the same as the entire case is new (unopened). This is some BS.

One time I bought a refurbished backwards compatible PS3 and FF13. Not only did the PS3 not read any kind of disk I put into it, but somehow they gave me a Japanese FF13 disk in a NA box.

I stopped going to gamestop when a butch lesbian was rude and didnt wanna accept my coupon from THERE own subscription I had. I dont know what this raging C words problem was that day. The coupon said buy 2 get 1 free. Bought or tried to buy FFX, Vice city and one of the god of war games, I only went home with FFX and omg what an amazing game it was.

Since then I only went one other time and the workers were some young teens just chatting while I was waiting in the line. Call me a Karen Idgaf its work not fun time. If they were on their break or something than take it somewhere else and isnt there always suppose to be one person at the register anway? Gamestop is shit now.
