I’m awaiting my KEF R3 Metas to come in, I’m also upgrading from the Q series. Glad to hear you enjoy the R3Ms so much!

What kind of stands do you have them on?

Long story short, I got fairly invested in building my own speakers and have been working on designing my own crossovers to implement in the future. This lead me to believe that buying speakers was unnecessary when I could build my own that perform almost as well. What I didn’t expect was that sitting around listening to your own speakers means just that: all I was listening to was the speakers and not the music. And quite frankly, it wasn’t enjoyable at all.

I will continue to work on projects and pursue my own goals, but I NEEDED some speakers. I stumbled upon a nearly new set of KEF R3 Metas that were an absolutely incredible steal I couldn’t pass up! I’ve been listening to them every possible second these last few days and I am BLOWN AWAY! I DO have a KEF fetish admittedly. I’ve owned several pairs and still use a set of their Q series on my main TV. I’ve also owned a set of the previous iteration of the R3s (non meta).

I thought I was blown away by those and was so upset with myself for ever letting them go. When I agreed to purchase these I thought, “How much better could these be than the last?”

They are better. A lot better.
