I was talking to a dealer about putting me on the waiting list for GTS allocation. The dealer told me that right now it’s about a two year waitlist and by that time the 992.2 will be out. If I wanted to get on that list that would require a 5K deposit but it is fully refundable should anything happen within that two-year waitlist . I’m in no means in any rush so I don’t mind the wait. I’m guessing leaving a deposit for a waitlist is pretty common, correct?

New to all this.

It seems like the only way to get on the list and this isn’t even to get on the list for a GT3 or higher!

I’d call around to other dealers in your area if you have them.

I’ve never really had an appreciation of the convenience and value that my long term relationship with Porsche has created. I was able to get a 992 gt3 in a few weeks. A Dakar with a text. I know this doesn’t help you now… But if you become a brand loyalist, eventually, they will hook you up all the time. All you have to do is spend a shit ton of money.

Get it in writing, make sure that deposit is 100% refundable and enjoy the wait/build! Very normal process
