if i put it on the far off setting… and forget its on that setting… when an osprey flies right at me… well, once it gets closer than that minimum focus distance, I suddenly lose focus.
if u r shooting wildlife, u need to be ready for anything at any time
i leave it on full most of the time
i have the RF 800 mm but the concept is similar…
